about

The Thrashing Aliens united in 1988 to explore the tension between
Aliens and Skateboarding as well as B-Movie Madness and Punk Hysteria...recorded in a guys dorm on a secluded college in Indiana.

These manic songs were geared to push the envelope of society and remain on edge with the war on drugs as well as peacetime anarchy.
Influenced by such bands as the Sex Pistols, Guns and Roses, the Beastie Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ministry and incorporating some Rap and Punk elements together in the year of 1988 and 1989.

The sessions were inventive and as soon cassette copies were being passed around; the counterculture in Indiana started to whisper and chant the wild workings of the Thrashing Aliens.

The Thrashing Aliens might have only played 2 or 3 shows in all but created a funky following to this day. The band branched out into other forms and units...Sock Monkey and Hipnoses and Jethro Easyfields & the Fishes of Eden - well into the heady and neo-boogie 1990's.

In the year 2000...Jet Ryder Jynx was a new power unit and members Dude, Tabutt and 5 Ball produced a one-off EP of high-octane modern rock CD "Under the Radar".

Recently various digital dumping grounds produced this compilation of 19 tunes...the core of the original tape exists in the first 12 songs.

All Hail our main man Rain for pushing play and inspiring us to create.
